Alex is a recent graduate of the Yoga NH 200 hour Teacher Training and a Reiki I and II practitioner. She began practicing yoga over 5 years ago. She first came to yoga after graduating from law school as a way to get out of her mind and into her body. Several years later, when faced with challenging health issues, Alex began to deepen her practice and explore aspects of yoga beyond the physical asana practice. Through continued practice and inquiry, she transferred lessons learned on the mat into her day-to-day life and discovered the healing and transformational power of yoga. This led her to want to share the experience of yoga with others. Alex’s approach to the practice grows out of the meaning of yoga as “to yoke” or “union” – she seeks to facilitate the union of individuals with the divine and also the union of individuals in our community with one another. Alex’s vinyasa style classes focus on linking breath and movement to help students quiet their minds and tune in to experiencing and accepting their bodies in the present moment.
