SUMMARY:Fascia Anatomy for Yoga Asanas
DESCRIPTION:Fascia Anatomy for Yoga Asanas is a workshop\nfor Yoga Instructors.\n\nRegister Today \nOnline Tickets with Ticketleap\nFascial Anatomy and Manual Assisting\nTechniques for Yoga Instructors\nJoin Vanessa for this insightful lecture\nand demonstration on Fascial Anatomy\nand how to incorporate this into your\nmanual assists while teaching yoga. \nIn this 2  hour workshop\, Vanessa will go over key areas\nof fascial anatomy describing new concepts of\npsycho-bio-neurological and physiological function\nas well as how to gently incorporate assists in\nthese areas of the body. Through these subtle\nmanual cues yoga students can engage in the\nposes in a more mindful and anatomically\nfunctionality way.\nFascia also called connective tissue is a\nclear sticky fibrous web that weaves in\nand around all the structures of the body.\nIt encompasses the bones while connecting\nand encasing muscles\, joints and viscera.\nThis intercellular matrix allows the body to\nsuspend and move in space in a tensegrity\nstructure while proper hydration and fitness\nof these tissues can increase mobility and\nalignment. In conjunction with muscles and\nbones\, this tissue web houses mass networks\nof nerves\, arteries\, as well as the lymphatic\nsystem essentially linking all systems of the\nbody through this mass network. \nIn this workshop\, the class will have a brief review of the muscula\nr and skeletal regions and then begin examining key fascial\nelements within the body. Students will discuss fascial\nanatomy\, structure\, and mobility while linking these concepts\nto various systems of the body to understand connective\ntissue fascia as a conscious network that functions as an\nextension of the neural pathways of the brain. Join Vanessa\non March 28 at 10:00 o’clock to deepen your understanding\nof anatomy in a comfortable discussion-based format. \n  \nClass will cover selections from below:\nFascial structures\, yoga pose\, manual adjustment and technique: \n\nFascial structures:\n\nGalea Apanorotica\, posterior triangle of the neck\, clavicle and upper thoracic outlet \nPose: \nduring Shavasana \nTechnique: \nOccipital hold \nIndirect Fascial cap scrunch \nCervical taffy pull \nUpper thoracic outlet/ clavicular hold and spread \n\nFascial Structures:\n\nInterocious Membrane of the forearm\, retinaculum of the hand. \nPose: \nWarrior Pose\, Tadasana\, any seating or lying pose \nTechniques: \nDouble hand pull and peal IO and Hand \nRetinaculum fluff \n\nFascial Strucutes\n\nThoracolumbar aponeurosis\, Supraspinous Ligament \nPose: \nChilds Pose\, Utanasana\, seated or standing forward fold. \nTechniques: \nPalm spread following fibers lateral\, across \nPalm spread gently along SP’s to lengthen Supraspinous Ligament \n\nFascial Structures\n\nInterosseous Membrane of the leg\, retinaculum of the ankle\, Plantar Fascia\, the three joints of the foot. \nPose: \nseated legs out\, Shavasana\, standing poses. \nTechniques: \nFoot mapping \nDorsi Fluffing \nRetinaculum Fluffing \nFibula Tibia Squeeze
