Mindfulness Meditation.
The workshop of Art and Science
of Mindfulness Meditation explores
the topic as a health intervention.
It also examins the  lifestyle path.

Art and Science of Mindfulness
Meditation is suitable for beginners
as well as those practitioners  looking
to deepen their practice.

We will take a short but never the less
deep dive into some of the cutting-edge science
regarding this topic: mindfulness meditation.

We will, then,  launch into several simple yet
profound practices that you can use everyday.

Depending on the group dynamics we may explore
possibilities which  include those listed below:
embodied presence
focused awareness
and lastly  lovingkindness. Furthermore, if time permits,
we will reflect on our experiences
with opportunities for dyad
and group work.
The Art and Science of Mindful Meditation is
suitable for all ages. Any  experience levels may
participate. It matters not what your  physical
conditions are.
Come as you are. Be comfortable.
No need to sit cross-legged!
(The teacher will be sitting in a chair.)A Bit of Information about Brian:

Brian Bliss, is  an attorney in career transition.
He is training to become a Mindfulness-Based
Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher through the
Mindfulness Center in the School of Public
Health at Brown University.
Brian  is also training to become a specialty
yoga teacher with an exclusive focus on

Brian states , “Mindfulness meditation has
changed my life dramatically. My relationship
to myself, my wife, my kids, my job—
everything is different. That’s not to say
it’s 100% roses and rainbows, it’s just that
I’ve learned how to appreciate more and
more moments of my life.”

His teachers include Sally Kempton,
Lorin Roche, and Kate Mitcheom
who in turn have trained with
Swami Muktananda, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi,
and Jon Kabat-Zinn, respectively.Brian Bliss has completed two eight-week
MBSR workshops, multiple meditation
and teaching retreats, and has spent over
1,200 hours in meditation and contemplative
study in the Kashmir Shaivite tradition.
He is eager to share his love of mindfulness
with the community.
