Instructor Kacy Harnedy, Addiction Recovery emphasis, grew up with dance and athletics, but not until she walked out of her first yoga class did she realize her fullest potential. The yoga class changed her mind, body and spirit. She dabbled in Kripalu, Bikram and Restorative Yoga styles for years but landed at Living Yoga in Concord, NH for her 200RYT studying Ashtanga principles. She creates a threesome now for YbD in Ashtanga practices, complementing Denise’s and Tom’s ashtanga classes.
Instructor Kacy Harnedy, Addiction Recovery emphasis, is also comfortable with Vinyasa Flow , restorative and gentle flow in case you should see her subbing for another teacher. She incorporates readings at the beginning of her class and also ends with a Savasana.
While in grad school, during her final semester in the Science of Integrative Health class, instructor Kacy Harnedy learned of the Chakra System-and has been entrenched ever since. The mind/body connection and heavy emphasis on Pranayama made life altering changes in her life, most importantly, guiding her to live moment to moment. Kacy is an advocate for change, and has a deep commitment to the connection of Yoga and Addiction recovery for all walks of life. This commitment is very near to her heart. Kacy Harnedy, Addiction Recovery emphasis wants to be the bridge to others to heal from addiction using Yoga as one of the tools.
If your goal is to be light hearted, challenge yourself, smile more or maybe be present then you will want to come explore a vinyasa flow with Kacy. She places emphasis on The Eight Limbs making up the practice of Ashtanga, The Chakras, and meditation. She invites personal intentions for class, and will remind you to reintroduce it throughout your practice. With intention comes change, and change, the evolution into the purest form of you.
