For those new to
yin yoga this is a wonderful opportunity
to explore the extended holding of
deeply relaxing yoga

use of blankets, bolsters, and props. There
will be a 2 hour yin yoga practice
followed by a 1 hour yoga nidra. yoga nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided body awareness meditation
bringing you into the same gamma brainwave
state as deep sleep. Join John Cole and learn
how to hibernate like the Aquarian Bear in
Aquarian Bear Yin Yoga.

Detailed description listed below:   This is a
3 hour exploration of the most nourishing
winter yoga practice. Yin Yoga is the practice
of letting go and resting in specific postures
without pushing or pulling the body deeper.
In this way, the body naturally opens up and
new pathways for prana to move are created,
thus restoring energy to the body. For those
new to yin yoga this is a wonderful opportunity
to explore the holding of deeply relaxing yoga
postures through the use of blankets,
bolsters, and props. It is
recommended to have a light meal 1-2 hours

beforehand that will sustain you for the workshop.
So much of our lives we have been told to go, go, go
without honoring the importance of slowness.
When we hold comfortable accessible postures
for extended periods of time we exercise our
ability to surrender and let go to the flow of life.
We reprogram the neural pathways within our
brain that constantly fire off telling us to get
busy by challenging ourselves to be still. New
neural pathways are then created that support
deep relaxation, creativity, and focus. This opens
up a whole new world of presence and experience,
allowing you to cherish and fully be in the moment.
Now is the perfect time to strengthen or begin a
Yin Yoga practice. Winter hibernation is all
about letting go of what no longer serves us to
then go deeper and deeper into our self. So with
the Aquarian Bear Yin Yoga workshop we can
begin to go so deep  we dream up our hearts
desire, to dream up a new seed to add to the
ever growing garden we have sown each year
since birth. There will be a 2 hour yin yoga
practice followed by a 1 hour yoga nidra.
